About

Hello to all reading this!

First of all, welcome to my blog! I wanted to open by telling you a little bit about myself and why I decided to create this site. My name is Emma and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but currently residing in San Francisco for college. I am majoring in Interior Design with a huge passion for fashion as well. Although I have no idea where I’ll end up career wise, my ideal job would be working as a stylist for both homes and apparel.  But for right now, I’m working at a smoothie shop up in the bay area and dreaming of that stylist job.

To me, style is seriously therapeutic. As silly as it sounds, I’ve noticed that a beautiful lifestyle is one of the best ways to take care of yourself. It makes you feel better which makes you live better. This is one of the elements of design that got me hooked. When you’re having a bad day, I’d bet that putting yourself in a beautiful setting or putting on the perfect outfit will boost your sense of confidence, increase your mood, and help you think clearer. I’d say that this is my main thought process when designing anything because it always needs to be radiating happiness and positivity.

As long as I can remember, I’ve been an artist. Thanks to my supportive parents, I’ve been able to practice a number of different artistic aspects. I remember learning to sew at a young age and making tiny clothes for my dolls, which then led to altering my own clothes in order to make them more “me.” (as a 7 year old, this meant lots of buttons, glitter, and bows.) As for the interior design interest, I probably got that from my parents and their excellent taste in home decor. (I’ll have to make an inspo post showing off my parents’ stunning homes). But anyway, these interests definitely consume my life entirely. I’m always looking at the latest trends and finding ways to improve life with a strong sense of style and practicality. Even my friends are constantly inspiring me with a “this is so you” text with a photo of pretty much anything from Free People or Anthropologie.

With all of that said, I finally decided to start this blog after a ton of creative ideas with no where to go and my fantastic friends basically forcing me to. From homes to fashion to make-up, I’ll be posting about anything and everything beautiful.

And please feel free to comment or reach out to me regarding any feedback you may have. 🙂
